SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 27 /SRNA/ - The SNSD candidate in the early election for Republika Srpska President, Siniša Karan, won 217,916 votes, which is 8,407 more than the SDS candidate Branko Blanuša, who received 209,509, according to the latest preliminary, unofficial, and incomplete results of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH.
After 99.91 percent of polling stations were processed, Karan won 50.30 percent of the vote, while Blanuša received 48.36 percent
Dragan Đokanović of the Alliance for New Politics, who received 1,881 votes, or 0.43 percent, is in third place.
Nikola Lazarević of the Ecological Party of Republika Srpska received 1,596 votes, or 0.37 percent.
Independent candidate Igor Gašević received 1,291 votes, or 0.30 percent, while Slavko Dragičević received 1,015 votes, or 0.23 percent.
According to CEC data, out of 1,264,366 registered voters, 441,100 cast their ballots, a turnout of 34.89 percent
There were 433,208 valid ballots, or 98.21 percent, 853 blank ballots, or 0.19 percent, and 7,039 ballots invalidated on other grounds, or 1.60 percent.
