KARAN LEADS, INCREASING ADVANTAGE OVER BLANUŠA

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 28 /SRNA/ – SNSD candidate in the snap presidential election in Republika Srpska Siniša Karan has won 9,537 votes more than SDS candidate Branko Blanuša.

After 99.91 percent of polling stations were processed, Karan received the support of 220,237 voters, while Blanuša won 210,700 votes, according to the latest preliminary, unofficial and incomplete results of the Central Election Commission of BiH /CEC/.

In percentage terms, Karan won 50.41 percent of the vote, while Blanuša received 48.23 percent.

In third place is Dragan Đokanović of the Savez za novu politiku /Alliance for a New Policy/, who received 1,931 votes, or 0.44 percent.

Nikola Lazarević of the Ekološka partija /Ecological Party/ of Republika Srpska won 1,629 votes, or 0.37 percent.

Independent candidate Igor Gašević received 1,335 votes, or 0.31 percent, while Slavko Dragičević received 1,042 votes, or 0.24 percent.

According to CEC data, out of 1,264,364 registered voters, 439,897, or 34.79 percent, cast their ballots in the snap elections.
