VIŠKOVIĆ: SARAJEVO WILL NOT DECIDE ABOUT SERBS IN BIH

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković has said today in Banja Luka that the latest messages from political Sarajevo and other power centers are unacceptable, which show that BiH, as it is, is not intended for Serbs, and said that Sarajevo will not decide the fate of Serbs in BiH.

"They have assigned us Serbs the role of folks, just like in the period of the Ottoman Empire. We will not accept that, nor will Sarajevo decide the fate of Serbs in BiH," Višković told reporters.

He emphasized that political Sarajevo, if it wants the survival of BiH, should come to its senses, sit down at the table and negotiate.

"We need to respect each other and create a country in accordance with the Dayton Constitution and according to the measure of all three peoples - Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats, and two entities - Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH /FBiH/. Only such BiH can survive, and a unitary and Alija's one cannot exist. Get rid of that and it will be better for everyone, including the members of the Bosniak people," said Višković.

He said that the almost daily calls by representatives from FBiH for lynching, arrests, persecution and physical liquidation of leaders from Republika Srpska are unacceptable.

"I want to thank the EUFOR command in BiH for their professional attitude. They disappointed them. Even NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte clearly stated that neither they, nor EUFOR, nor anyone else will interfere in the internal affairs of BiH. Accordingly, they will take care of the security of BiH, which we in Republika Srpska welcome," Višković said.

He pointed out that no warmongering message was sent from Republika Srpska.

"We have always called for peace, stability and respect for the constitution and the law. And we sent the message that this is a political and constitutional fight for our rights. We do not call for war, weapons, or threaten anyone. On the other hand, we receive calls from Sarajevo every day as to why the Prosecutor's Office and the BiH Court are not dealing with us," Višković stated.

He said that such messages to Republika Srpska, if they continue, will destroy BiH and disintegrate it, and send a message to Serbs that they are not wanted in BiH.

"If this is the wish of political Sarajevo, we will choose our own path - legal and lawful," said the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska.
