BANJA LUKA, MAY 16 /SRNA/ - The region is being built and will continue to be built, and those who are building it will gather in Trebinje in mid-June for the first conference on infrastructure and construction.

Prestigious companies are coming to the city on the Trebišnjica River, including Integral Engineering, one that has built some of the most significant projects in Republika Srpska.

The company said in a statement to SRNA that it has much to say and show, and therefore sends a clear message to its colleagues.

“We who build and create see our greatest success in leaving a lasting mark behind us, so I would like to tell my colleagues to stay in Republika Srpska so that together we can take a step forward,” said Ljubiša Pilipović from Integral Engineering.

Director of Autoputevi Republike Srpske /Republika Srpska Highways/ Company Radovan Višković announced the construction of new motorway sections, and his attendance at the upcoming conference in Trebinje.

“I really expect a lot from that conference. Trebinje itself is in a way a message that we should bring decisions and conclusions there, and that it is high time for Herzegovina to finally get major road infrastructure,” emphasized Radovan Višković.

Construction is taking place everywhere in Trebinje. In just the past few years, around BAM 350 million has been invested in various projects in the southernmost city of Republika Srpska, says mayor Mirko Ćurić, adding that Trebinje is therefore an ideal place for a construction conference because development will continue there even more in the future.

He announced the construction of “New Trebinje,” where, as he said, plans include a congress center worth more than BAM 100 million, a sports hall, kindergartens, and other public facilities.

“We believe all of this deserves attention,” said Ćurić.

Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property of Montenegro Slaven Radunović said that it is very important and wise to unite and use each other’s experiences, since all of their countries have more or less the same needs regarding changes in laws and regulations, as well as alignment with the current era, new technologies, and similar developments, making it highly useful to share experiences among themselves.

“We from Montenegro are bringing many good proposals. In the past few years, we have carried out a reform of the entire legal and professional framework, changed the laws on construction and spatial planning, and adopted a Law on Legalisation, so we can offer many solutions,” said Radunović.

The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction, and Ecology of Republika Srpska is also closely following everything. Minister Bojan Vipotnik says that this conference will be very important for the exchange of experience, ideas, and approaches, as well as for the adoption of new legal frameworks in construction.

“This is an extremely important conference because, through concrete examples, we will be able to learn something new, take it with us, and use it in future projects,” emphasized Vipotnik.

The conference “Trebinje 2026 – Building the Region” will be held on June 18 and 19 at the Cultural Centre in Trebinje, bringing together leading construction companies and decision-makers from across the region.
