SARAJEVO, MAY 19 /SRNA/ – Chairman of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Nikola Špirić stated today that the SNSD is not producing a crisis, but rather calling for dialogue - on the European path, on laws, and on staffing issues.

Špirić said that only those who want a crisis will create one.

"If there is a new majority, let's see the signatures to prove it, so that it can stay on the European path," Špirić told reporters after SNSD delegates walked out of an emergency session of the House of Peoples, which had on its agenda proposals for the dismissal of Serb representatives.

Špirić said that a crisis is being manufactured in the House of Peoples, one in which SNSD delegates are not participating.

"We are not extending the crisis, but we will use our constitutional and procedural capacity. What is controversial about that? We are not disputing the rights of either the Croat or Bosniak caucus," emphasized Špirić.

Three Serb Caucus delegates from the SNSD - Sredoje Nović, Nikola Špirić, and Radovan Kovačević - walked out of today's session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in order to, according to Serb Caucus leader Sredoje Nović, prevent a farce.

Explaining the decision to leave the session, Nović emphasized that no one should be allowed to let a minority rule over a majority, regardless of which national caucus is in question.

"That would be a betrayal of the results of general and local elections / especially in Republika Srpska - and we cannot accept that," said Nović.
