SARAJEVO, APRIL 26 /SRNA/ - The conclusions of the Main Board of SDA aim at the unitarization of BiH through the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, with the support of the opposition from Republika Srpska, which is an attack on the mechanism for the protection of vital national interests, Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Nikola Špirić told SRNA, warning about the dangers of such attempts that infringe on the constitutional order.
"The SDA has adopted conclusions that they intend to implement in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH with the help of an instrumentalized opposition from Republika Srpska, seeking to abolish the mechanism for protecting vital national interests by denying the election results. The opposition from Republika Srpska is being used in all of this as a `useful idiot,`" Špirić said.
Regarding the calls from the SDA addressed to Christian Schmidt to change the Constitution and the rules of procedure in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and to sanction politicians, Špirić said that such actions would "turn BiH into a merry-go-round rather than a sovereign state."
"For the SDA, this kind of behavior is not surprising, because the international factor either keeps them in power or prevents them from gaining power. They cry like children lost in the forest, along with the headless and alienated members of the Serb Caucus, who are supported by the SDA rather than by the majority will of the voters in Republika Srpska," Špirić emphasized.
He sent a message to all those creating pressure inside and outside the House of Peoples that respecting the Rules of Procedure of the House and the letter of the Dayton Agreement is a priority, from which he will not deviate.
"The SDA is not the interpreter of the Rules of Procedure, nor are they in a position to set the order of agenda items outside of the regulations of this act or manage the two remaining caucuses. A greater problem is that the House, which is supposed to protect the interests of the constituent peoples, is being turned into a representative body of political parties, and this is a dangerous approach aimed at dismantling the mechanisms for protecting the interests of the Serbian people and Republika Srpska," Špirić said.
He added that the SNSD and its coalition partners are calling for dialogue and are doing everything to respect the original Dayton Agreement, while the SDA is openly calling for the violation of the Constitution of BiH and the undermining of territorial integrity by demanding that the Brčko District be annexed to the Federation of BiH.
"The talk about alleged armament, arrests, secessions, and pressure on the judiciary is contained in the official conclusions of the SDA Main Board, which clearly shows who is raising tensions and deepening the crisis. The call for dialogue coming from Banja Luka is certainly not a trigger for any conflict," Špirić said, adding that the House of Peoples will continue its work in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution, regardless of such pressures.
