SCHMIDT HAS JEOPARDIZED BiH’S FINANCIAL SOVEREIGNTY

SARAJEVO, JULY 17 /SRNA/ – The Chairman of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Nikola Špirić, stated today that Christian Schmidt, through his decision, has jeopardized the country’s financial sovereignty.

“The more decisions Christian Schmidt makes, the more BiH falters. With this decision, he has jeopardized BiH’s financial sovereignty. As for the position of the Central Bank of BiH, we do not have monetary sovereignty anyway,” Špirić told reporters in Sarajevo.

He emphasized that any undermining of any aspect of BiH’s sovereignty distances the country from the EU.

“Those who are applauding these decisions, when they eventually analyze them, I assume they will realize that they have turned cash into debt,” Špirić added.

This morning, Schmidt imposed a decision in the case of the Slovenian company “Vijadukt,” which foresees taking funds from excise revenues in the single account, from the part belonging to Srpska, as well as a decision requiring the BiH Central Bank to secure funds for new technologies in the election process.
