STUTTGART, APRIL 3 /SRNA/ – BiH's Consul General in Stuttgart Vera Sajić told SRNA that the new blockade of putting the border crossing in Gradiška into operation at the session of the Steering Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ of BiH has proven how certain policies go against common sense and cause damage to the economy, the diaspora and the citizens of BiH.
"It is unbelievable to any reasonable person what is happening in BiH and how far some people are willing to go and cause damage to everyone," Sajić said after Zijad Krnjić blocked the opening of the crossing for the fifth time at yesterday’s ITA Steering Board session.
She emphasized that the diaspora had expected the opening of this border crossing and pointed out that the damage is significant for everyone - for people from the diaspora who wait a long time at the border crossing, for transport companies that suffer losses, and for goods that remain waiting much longer.
"For the fifth time the blockade comes from the same person, the so-called expert, which would be impossible in any normal country. It is obvious that the `expert` is not concerned that families with small children wait at the border for hours, as do many others," Sajić stressed.
Noting that the border is the mirror of every country, she assessed that Krnjić is not concerned about carrires waiting or about the losses the entrepreneurs suffer.
"Once again it is being proven that those who swear in BiH do not actually think or act in its best interest," Sajić concluded.
At yesterday's extraordinary session, the Steering Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH for the fifth time failed to reach an agreement that would result in the opening of the new border crossing in Gradiška because Board member from the Federation of BiH Zijad Krnjić blocked it again.
