SARAJEVO, APRIL 21 /SRNA/ - Serb Member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović sent a telegram of condolence on the occasion of the death of Pope Francis, pointing out that with his departure, the Roman Catholic Church was left without a great and wise spiritual leader who was sincerely dedicated to justice, peace and coexistence.
Cvijanović has stated that she believes that the Pope's attitude towards the current challenges of the modern world, as well as his messages for understanding and love between peoples, will be a motivation and a guide for many.
"Please accept the expressions of sincere condolences and deep respect," Cvijanović cited in a condolence telegram to the Holy See in Rome, Archbishop Tomo Vukšić of Vrhbosna and the Catholic community around the world.
Pope Francis died this morning in the Vatican, after a long battle with respiratory and kidney diseases.
