EAST SARAJEVO, MAY 22 /SRNA/ – In BiH, only the Bosniaks continue to push the narrative of war and conflict, trying to frighten their own people and others in the country in an effort to strengthen their positions, which are in steep decline, said Miroslav Vujičić, member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
Vujičić pointed out that Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović has repeatedly demonstrated hostility and hallucinations, accusing Republika Srpska and its representatives of allegedly threatening peace.
"We all remember who, more than 30 years ago, publicly said they would sacrifice peace - and who actually did so - and what followed, including the promise of `golden spoons` made to the then-Muslims, now Bosniaks," Vujičić emphasized.
He added that the responsibility for sacrificing peace lay solely with the then-Muslims and their wartime leader Alija Izetbegović.
"It seems Bećirović is trying to be more Alija than Alija Izetbegović himself," Vujičić stated.
He said that the Bosniak political line represented by Bećirović shows signs of delusion, "seeing threats that don't exist".
"Republika Srpska and its representatives have always advocated for respect of the Dayton Peace Accords. No one from Republika Srpska has ever mentioned war in BiH - only the Bosniaks continue to ride that war narrative, scaring both their own people and others in BiH, all to boost their dwindling political standing," Vujičić stressed.
Bosniak Presidency member Denis Bećirović recently told U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair James Risch in Washington that BiH and the region are, for the first time since 1995, facing "separatist politicians in Republika Srpska who are willing to sacrifice peace for their own personal interests".
