MILOVANOVIĆ: ISLAMIC SLEEPERS AND THEIR FOLLOWERS ARE AWAKE

BELGRADE, OCTOBER 11 /SRNA/ - Security expert Anatolij Milovanović told SRNA that Republika Srpska was the first state entity to fight against the Islamic State /ISIS/, and warned that the jihadists who remained in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ after the last war in BiH and their followers pose a permanent threat to the security of the region, but also beyond.

Milovanović pointed out that the most drastic evidence of the danger posed by radical Islamists is the terrorist attacks in Zvornik on April 27, 2015, and Bosanska Krupa on October 24 last year, in which two police officers of Serb nationality were killed.

He emphasized that the Dayton Peace Agreement, among other things, stipulated that all foreign fighters must leave BiH by January 13, 1996, but that important part of the agreement was never fully implemented by the Muslim political authorities.

"That is why jihadist warriors remained on the territory of BiH as a special type of sleeper cell that can be activated on the orders of the Muslim political leadership or some intelligence service when they again need an armed conflict in BiH or in the region," Milovanović said.

WHITE AL-QAEDA" FROM BiH CAN THREATEN EVEN THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRIES

Milovanović particularly emphasized that members of the white Al-Qaeda, as terrorists from BiH are called in security circles, can threaten even the most powerful countries in the world.

He pointed out that some NATO members are using these terrorists, trying to achieve their national interests.

"In the Balkans, this is primarily about threatening the vital national interests of the Serbian people," he said.

Milovanović believes that special emphasis should be placed on the political support that terrorists receive from individual representatives of political parties in the FBiH.

"All together, instead of developing a security sector that should counter the global terrorist threat, they are not doing anything concrete to solve this security problem," he pointed out.

JIHADISTS LURING MINORS

According to him, the engagement of terrorist groups and individuals to achieve political goals is not new either in BiH or in the world.

"However, what certain political groups in BiH stand out for are attacks on compatriots, and that represents a special form of terrorism characteristic of BiH," he pointed out.

Milovanović noted that, during the war in BiH, secret Muslim paramilitary staff loyal to the then SDA leaders carried out the murders of compatriots for political effects.

"There were several small units on the Muslim side that quietly carried out dirty work on the orders of SDA leaders, but the most significant and enduring of these groups was an elite team known as `Ševe,`" Milovanović said.

He emphasized that those who led Muslims in BiH during and after the war enabled members of the infamous El Mujahideen detachment to spread their sick opinions and terrorist education among members of that people, especially among the youth, by printing and freely distributing various literature presented as Islamic books.

Milovanović pointed out that the direct consequence of this indoctrination were the terrorist attacks in Zvornik and Bosanska Krupa, in which two Serb police officers were killed and three others were wounded.

"Nermin Ibrić, who killed police officer Dragan Đurić at the Zvornik Police Station on April 27, 2015, was recruited by a member of the Islamic State who had returned to BiH from Syria. Ibrić was considered a good guy from the neighborhood and hung out with Serbs until he connected with the self-proclaimed Al-Fatih. Ibrić, had a psycho-social pathology and was suitable for recruitment, and I have dealt with this in my scientific works," Milovanović stated.

He said that the murderer of Serb police officer Ozren Marin in Bosanska Krupa on October 24th last year, minor Elmir Sedić, was recruited, but that he was not chosen by chance.

"He could certainly have been detained, as could the parents, if the younger minor was under 14 years old. They deliberately choose such people," Milovanović explained, adding that from a legal perspective, recruitment is a criminal act of incitement.

MOST OF ISLAMIC WARRIORS IN 1990s ARRIVED VIA CROATIA

Speaking about the arrival of Islamic warriors in BiH in the 1990s, Milovanović noted that it is often overlooked that neighboring Croatia was the main gateway through which they arrived in BiH.

"Their main route was from Split to Herzegovina, then through Kiseljak, and then Vitez, and then Travnik, where they were met by members of the local unit `Muslim Force`. After that, they were sent to the foreign Mujahideen in Mehurići, to the mujahedin military training camp," said Milovanović.

He emphasized that the war in BiH had massively attracted Muslim volunteers to fight against the Serbs, and that those who wanted to continue the jihad around the world were able to meet and organize in the Balkans.

Milovanović stated that, based on unconfirmed intelligence data and information, it appears that the British intelligence service MI6 and the Croatian intelligence service SIS were behind everything, which, in coordination with a network of intelligence officers, British and French generals stationed at UN posts in Croatia and BiH, coordinated the outbreak of the war in BiH.

"The true size of the strategic underground that supported the network remains to be seen. Recent revelations by some intelligence services suggest that this network was much more expansive and complex than one might imagine. Millions of dollars were collected, delivered and distributed to foreign Mujahideen fighting units in BiH," he said.

Milovanović pointed out that it is known that the key individuals behind the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, in New York, fought in BiH before making a contact with Al-Qaeda.

"The Muslim units there were supplied with weapons by the American, Pentagon-owned company MPRI. When the same individuals later prepared the attacks in New York, they were monitored non-stop by American intelligence services; there were even direct attempts at recruitment - but never any arrests. The two Balkan veterans are today the most important protected witnesses of the American government," Milovanović claims. /to be continued/
