MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA/ - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that a coup d'etat is taking place in BiH, where the self-declared foreigner Christian Schmidt is breaking down the state structure approved by the UN Security Council.
"He has no power, other than being pushed by the West to implement their plans in Republika Srpska," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow after a meeting with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.
Lavrov emphasized that they also discussed how the self-declared Christian Schmidt, who was not appointed by the Security Council and calls himself the High Representative, makes decisions to criminally prosecute those who disagree with him.
"In his personality we see the embodiment of Western policy in the implementation of colour revolutions, i.e. coup d'etat," the Russian minister said.
He pointed out that the first coup occurred in 2008 when Kosovo's independence was unilaterally declared, which he described as the grossest violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
"Western countries then carried out a coup in Ukraine in 2014, when the legitimate president was overthrown because he didn't want the country to join NATO and the EU. The third case of a coup is now happening in BiH," Lavrov said.
He pointed out that in all three cases of coups, the rights of Orthodox Slavs were violated, which is a serious characteristic of the cooperation between political leaders in Brussels, Paris, Berlin, and other capitals.
"Additionally, London is helping the Brussels administration continue its Russophobic, anti-Orthodox, and anti-Slavic policies," Lavrov added.
He also mentioned that numerous fake news are being spread in global media against Russia, obstructing the work of the UN Security Council.
"Recently, we supposedly nearly shot down Ursula von der Leyen's plane, and it was said that Russia had turned off her GPS. Later, the EU representative denied this nonsense," Lavrov said.
