KOŠARAC: THE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA NATIONAL ASSEMBLY GAVE THE BEST RESPONSE TO THE CALL FOR EARLY ELECTIONS

EAST SARAJEVO, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac emphasized that the best response to the decision to call early elections for the President of Republika Srpska was given by the National Assembly of Srpska in its conclusions of August 22, which are binding for all.

Commenting on this decision by the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH, Košarac told SRNA that Republika Srpska has a president – Milorad Dodik, who was elected in democratic elections by the free will of the citizens of Srpska, and that neither the CEC nor the illegitimate Christian Schmidt can revoke Dodik’s mandate, as they did not elect him.

According to him, sovereignty belongs to the people of Republika Srpska, who elect their representatives.

"That is why Serbian patriots will turn out for the referendum on October 25 and clearly express their opinion on the decisions of the colonial administrator Christian Schmidt and the rulings of unconstitutional institutions," said Košarac, who is also a member of the SNSD Presidency.

He stated that, on the other hand, the BiH patriots will participate in the early elections, accepting the politically instructed decisions of the CEC, the illegitimate Christian Schmidt, and unconstitutional institutions, which will send a more than clear signal that they have capitulated and betrayed the electoral will of the Serb people.

"But let them never forget — the will of the people is sacred, and no one can go against it! Milorad Dodik is the will and choice of the Serb people. No one can oppose that! Here, we defend our will and our constitutional capacity. That is why we call on all nationally responsible individuals to join us in the team for Srpska, and show Sarajevo and the foreigners together, in unity and solidarity, decisively and bravely, that the will of the Serb people must be respected," Košarac said.

The CEC of BiH decided today that the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska will be held on November 23.

According to the conclusions of the National Assembly of August 22, Republika Srpska rejected the possibility of holding early elections for the president of Republika Srpska and requested that all authorities of Srpska and local self-government units refrain from undertaking any actions related to their implementation.

At that time, the Republika Srpska National Assembly adopted a decision to call a referendum regarding the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH on the termination of his mandate, setting the referendum date for October 25.

The referendum question reads: "Do you accept the decisions of the unelected foreigner, Christian Schmidt, and the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH issued against the President of Republika Srpska, as well as the decision of the CEC to terminate the mandate of the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik?"
