GOGANOVIĆ MEETS ITALIAN DEFENCE MINISTER: TRAGEDIES BRING US EVEN CLOSER TOGETHER

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 30 /SRNA/ – Deputy Minister of Defence at the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović met today in Sarajevo with Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, to whom he expressed his deepest condolences over the tragic deaths of Italian EUFOR personnel in the helicopter accident.

"Italy is not alone in these difficult moments. Such tragedies bring us even closer together and remind us of the importance of solidarity, friendship and shared responsibility for maintaining peace," Goganović said.

Goganović and Crosetto agreed to continue working together to preserve peace, stability and security in BiH and the region, while further strengthening partnership.

Goganović also conveyed condolences from Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović and the leadership of Republika Srpska, stressing that the Ministry of Defence at the Council of Ministers stood ready to provide all necessary assistance and support.

The Italian delegation also included Chief of the Defence General Staff General Luciano Portolano, Italian Ambassador to BiH Sarah Eti Castellani and EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda.
