MOSCOW, May 11 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik told RIA Novosti that the verdict issued by the Court of BiH against him should be overturned.
“This is not a final, legally binding verdict. If there is law and justice, it must be annulled. However, where Westerners run the court, there is no trust,” Dodik said.
He added that he is not alone in facing politically motivated judgments—Marine Le Pen has been in a similar situation, and comparable cases have appeared in Romania and Germany.
“This is how EU countries protect themselves—first by abusing the judicial system—rather than by developing their own values and future projects,” Dodik argued.
On February 26, the BiH Court sentenced President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik in the first instance to one year in prison and a six-year ban on holding office from the date the verdict becomes final and binding”, for “failing to enforce Christian Schmidt’s decisions.”
