BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik emphasizes that every politics offers its people hope and wishes them well, with the exception of Sarajevo's politics, which offers fear to Muslims who have become Bosniaks and invokes evil.

“The messages coming from those circles, claiming that they alone are victims, that the world prevented them from defending themselves, and that they are once again facing the threat of destruction today, represent an attempt to maintain political influence through fear,” Dodik added.

He said this was characteristic of a people without a leader or ideology, upon whom a complex of hatred was imposed. Dodik stated that, for decades, this politics has kept its own people convinced that danger is constantly coming from their neighbours, primarily Serbs, then Croats, and subsequently everyone else.

“For decades, you have forced them to walk with their heads bowed. Instead of reaching agreements, new warnings about an allegedly inevitable conflict are offerred. Such rhetoric perpetuates mistrust and leaves future generations with fears that are difficult to overcome,” Dodik added.

According to Dodik, claims that Israel wants to destroy all Arabs and that Bosniaks in this region face the same fate constitute serious accusations.

“Anyone who attributes to entire nations the intention of destroying others must be held accountable for their words. We offer an agreement, you reject it. We offer you the opportunity to govern yourselves independently in the territory where you are already the majority, you consider that to be Gaza. That is your right. However, exploiting the Palestinian people in Gaza for cheap propaganda is utterly inhumane,” Dodik stated.

Dodik stressed that the Serb people knows their own history, including the fact that, over the last ten generations, four generations within one Muslim family identified themselves differently.

“Everyone has the right to determine their own identity, but no one has the right to build their political and national programme on portraying the Serb people as a permanent threat, something that has been attempted for decades. What you are doing to Muslims who have become Bosniaks is already your problem, but we refuse to accept the role of scapegoats for the state of mind of any other nation,” Dodik posted on X.

Dodik stated that Bosniaks - Muslims are a good people with strong faith, but that the politicians representing them are proponents of chauvinism that surpasses anything seen in this region.

He said that Republika Srpska is committed to lasting peace and progress and makes no secret of its desire for the advancement of the Serb people and for a strong, stable and successful Republika Srpska.

“That same right belongs to all other peoples. We are not a threat to anyone, and we will not accept other people's accusations being imposed on us as proof of our own intentions,” he added.

He stated that the Serb people are aware that they can prosper only in a secure environment and that this remains their lasting commitment.

“I know that Bosniak politicians are incapable and lack talent, but I hope they are not stupid and that they will accept what is possible, because we will never agree to what is impossible. We will not agree to being subordinates. Equally, we will not accept being the permanent enemy in someone else's political and national games. Because those who have nothing to offer for the future find it easiest to rule through fear of that future,” Dodik concluded.
