CVIJANOVIĆ CONGRATULATES POPE LEO XIV FOR BEING ELECTED NEW HEAD OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

EAST SARAJEVO, MAY 8 /SRNA/ - Serb Member and Chairperson of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović congratulated Pope Leo XIV for being elected a head of the Roman Catholic Church.

"I am particularly pleased to send you sincere congratulations on your election as the new head of the Roman Catholic Church, with the wish that your pontificate be fruitful in the global search for peace and a more just and humane world," Cvijanović emphasized.

She expressed her hope that his service, in a time of great challenges, will contribute to the building of bridges of understanding between peoples, religions and cultures and to the realization of the postulates of dialogue, reconciliation and solidarity among all the people of the world.

"Convinced that the good relations between Republika Srpska, BiH and the Holy See will continue to develop in a spirit of respect and understanding, I warmly greet you, with the most sincere wishes for wisdom, health and success in your holy mission, please accept the expressions of my deep respect," reads the congratulatory message of the Serb Member and Chairwoman of the Presidency of BiH.
