CROSETTO VISITS HELICOPTER CRASH SITE AND INJURED SOLDIERS AT BRČKO HOSPITAL

BRČKO, 30 OCTOBER /SRNA/ – Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto today visited the site of the Italian military helicopter crash in the Gorice neighbourhood of Brčko.

Crosetto also visited nine injured Italian soldiers at Brčko Hospital and paid tribute to the deceased crew members at the city morgue.

Earlier, the Italian minister had visited injured soldiers at the University Clinical Centre in Tuzla.

The crash site and the injured soldiers at Brčko Hospital were also visited by the Italian Ambassador to BiH Sarah Eti Castellani, Minister of Defence at the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, as well as delegations from the Armed Forces of BiH and the Italian and Austrian LOT /Liaison and Observation Team/ units.

Four soldiers from the Italian contingent were killed in the EUFOR helicopter crash in the Gorice neighbourhood of Brčko, while 11 others were injured.

Two of the more seriously injured soldiers were transferred to the University Clinical Centre in Tuzla.
