CEC TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE DISTRIBUTION AND EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS COLLECTED FROM FINING POLITICAL ENTITIES

SARAJEVO, JULY 15 /SRNA/ - Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Sanja Vulić requested an explanation from the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH on how the distribution is carried out and how the money collected on the basis of financial penalties imposed on political entities is spent.

Vulić, given that the imposition of financial penalties on political entities due to premature or inappropriate campaigning is a regular item at CEC sessions, through a parliamentary question requested information on which budget these funds are paid into, who decides on their purpose and based on which regulations the distribution and spending is carried out.

She, in the same parliamentary question, requested that the CEC for 2024, 2025 and 2026 submit an overview of all collected financial penalties, with the total amount of collected funds by year, as well as data on for what purposes these funds were spent, in what amounts and based on whose decisions.

Vulić noted that the question sent to the CEC is of general interest.
