BANJALUKA, August 15 /SRNA/ - Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić said today that the BiH Attorney General's Office did not react when it came to the purchase of buildings in Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Mostar, unlike in the case of the purchase of the Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ headquarters in Banjaluka, and that the opinion of this institution is non-binding.
Amidžić stated that he has the impression that someone in the Attorney General's Office wants the bidder to make money, that is, to sue BiH, collect payment, and still retain ownership of the property.
"To clarify - when the deadlines from the offer expire, the bidder has the right to sue BiH, collect the full amount of money, and keep the property in their ownership. The opinion of the Attorney General's Office is non-binding, and their conduct will result in exactly what I have described," Amidžić said at a press conference in Banjaluka.
He added that anyone who violates the law should be held accountable.
