BANJA LUKA, JULY 28 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić stated in Banja Luka that more than BAM 18 million will be paid into the account of the Government of Republika Srpska today, even though the Minister of Transport and Communications Edin Forto had blocked these funds without any legal basis.
"A part of the funds, namely BAM 8.5 million, will be spent on the development of road infrastructure, while the rest refers to the improvement and transformation of the digital space or some other things related to electronic media," Amidžić said at a press conference.
Amidžić reminded that the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the Council of Ministers, led by Forto, blocked the money that belongs to Republika Srpska without a legal basis.
"The reason is simple - he blocked it because the money belongs to the citizens of Srpska. I am glad that I belong to a people who are not ready to be blackmailed, and who always fight for what belongs to them," Amidžić pointed out.
He noted that the Serbian people will not allow anyone to blackmail them.
"They tried the same thing when it came to the Border Crossing in Gradiška, and we opened it, as well as with the Rulebook on VAT, which we adopted," Amidžić reminded.
Amidžić stated that in the same way Forto blocked Srpska, the representatives of Republika Srpska also blocked the Federation of BiH /FBiH/, because that was the only way everything could be brought back within the legal framework.
He noted that there are opposition politicians who rejoiced at all this, and one of them is Marinko Božović /SDS/, who said that six million KM was paid to BHRT and that Srpska had thereby given in.
"BHRT did get this money, but not from the budget. Republika Srpska will receive another BAM 1.7 million that are in the account of the Communications Regulatory Agency, which is managed by our staff. In total, this means that we will have almost BAM 20 million in the account of the Government of Srpska, and therefore I hope that Božović knows mathematics and understands that 20 is more than six," said Amidžić.
