KYIV, AUGUST 3 /SRNA/ - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed freezing combat operations along the current front line, halting attacks on energy infrastructure, and stopping mutual airstrikes, while simultaneously expressing readiness for direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated his adviser Mykhailo Podolyak.
He emphasized that Zelensky intends to increase pressure on Russia during the autumn through a "combination of military strikes, sanctions, and diplomatic talks" to force it into peace, rejecting claims that Kyiv wants to prolong the war, reports the "Informat" portal.
According to the portal, these steps come at a time when Russian forces have advanced to just five kilometers from Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.
