WRIGHT: MORE THAN 120 SHIPS PASSED THROUGH THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IN TWO DAYS

WASHINGTON, JUNE 21 /SRNA–RIA Novosti/ – More than 120 ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past two days, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said.

“Fifty-five ships passed through on Friday, and 67 yesterday. As far as crude oil and petroleum products are concerned, transport volumes are roughly at the same level as they were before the war,” Wright said.

Iran and the United States signed a memorandum on Thursday, June 18, providing for an end to the military conflict that began on February 28.

The document also sets deadlines for lifting the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports and for the restoration of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran would facilitate.
