OSNABRÜCK, JUNE 21 /SRNA/ – A 26-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in Osnabrück after tests revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 5.25 per mille /0.525%/, local police said.
The woman was found on a pedestrian pathway and was subsequently admitted to an intensive care unit, where she remains under medical supervision, reports Der Spiegel.
Alcohol levels exceeding 3.5 per mille are considered life-threatening, while levels above 4.0 per mille are often regarded as potentially fatal due to paralysis of vital centres in the brain.
