VILIMSKY: NEW SANCTIONS PACKAGE DEFINITION OF INSANITY

VIENNA, AUGUST 17 /SRNA/ – Harald Vilimsky, Vice-President of the Patriots for Europe group in the European Parliament, criticized the European Union’s intensification of sanctions against Russia, calling it the definition of insanity and stating that their ineffectiveness has been proven.

"It is unreasonable to do the same thing and expect a different result. After 21 packages of sanctions, there is still no peace. Expecting anything from the 22nd package of sanctions announced by /EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/ Kaja Kallas is the definition of insanity," Vilimsky posted on X.

He added that the Freedom Party of Austria, of which he is a member, is calling for diplomacy instead of further escalation of relations with Russia.
