WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 5 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ - US President Donald Trump said today that Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries were driving up fuel prices, rather than the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
"What is causing fuel prices to rise is no longer the Strait of Hormuz, because a record number of barrels are coming onto the market almost every day, but the relentless Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries and the shutting down of plants in blue states such as California by Democrats," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The Russian Defense Ministry said yesterday that it was taking seriously Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's announcement that attacks on Russian refineries would be intensified in response to strikes on Ukrainian military and industrial facilities and infrastructure used by the Ukrainian armed forces.
