TRUMP: PEACE AGREEMENT WITH IRAN IN TWO OR THREE DAYS

WASHINGTON, JUNE 9 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - US President Donald Trump said that a peace agreement with Iran could be signed in two or three days.

"We are in the final stages of what will be a very good agreement that will not allow Iran in any way to shape or form a nuclear weapon. The Strait of Hormuz will be opened immediately upon signing, which could be in two or three days," Trump told reporters.

When asked to clarify, Trump confirmed that he meant specifically "two or three days," not weeks.

"We have a good chance of doing it. We should be able to do it in an hour. I think we are very close to having a very good, strong, powerful agreement," Trump added.

On February 28, the US and Israel launched attacks on targets in Iran, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded with attacks on Israeli territory and US military installations in the Middle East.
