WASHINGTON, JUNE 15 /SRNA-Reuters/ - U.S. President Donald Trump stated that many oil tankers are beginning to sail through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that U.S. forces had counted nearly 1,000 commercial vessels in transit entering or leaving the strait.
Before the war between the United States and Iran, more than 100 vessels a day passed through this vital maritime route.
Washington and Tehran previously confirmed that the United States and Iran had reached an agreement to end the conflict.
The agreement is expected to be signed on Friday, June 19, in Geneva.
One of its key provisions is the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
