TRUMP: IRAN IS TRYING TO PUSH UP FUEL PRICES

WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 22 /SRNA-Reuters/ – Iran is doing everything it can to drive up fuel prices ahead of the US congressional elections, President Donald Trump said today.

Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said a total of seven vessels had been hit in the Persian Gulf and near the Strait of Hormuz while transporting oil "illegally."

"They're making up fake hits, mines and everything else," Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform.

The Revolutionary Guard said four vessels were hit simultaneously and caught fire in the northern Persian Gulf after Iranian forces had tracked them yesterday.

Another three vessels struck mines west of the Strait of Hormuz, the statement said, warning the US military that continued provocations could prompt a broader response against its regional bases.
