TEHRAN WARNS OF STRONGER STRIKES ON AMERICAN NAVAL VESSELS

TEHRAN, SEPTEMBER 5 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ — Iran will launch new and stronger attacks on American warships in the Middle East if US forces continue attacking Iranian vessels, Iranian military command spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfagari said.

"We warn the US military that attacks by Iran's armed forces on American warships in the Middle East will get even more serious than before if it continues its hostile actions and harassment of Iranian vessels, as well as its naval blockade of Iran," Zolfagari said, according to the Fars news agency.

Earlier today, US Central Command said that American forces had attacked three Iranian oil tankers near Kharg Island in response to ballistic missiles fired at two US Navy vessels.
