WASHINGTON, AUGUST 17 /SRNA–Reuters/ – US automaker Stellantis, the owner of Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, said it is recalling 955,000 vehicles worldwide because radio software may prevent rearview cameras from operating properly.
More than 848,000 vehicles will be recalled in the United States, including various models of the Chrysler Pacifica, Voyager, Dodge Charger, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, as well as Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 pickup trucks from the 2026 and 2027 model years.
Around 107,000 vehicles are being recalled in Canada, Mexico and other markets.
Owners will receive a wireless software update for the radio, with a notification appearing on the vehicle’s multimedia screen when the update becomes available.
Stellantis said it was not aware of any traffic accidents or injuries related to the problem.
