SEVEN PEOPLE KILLED IN TOURIST HELICOPTER CRASH

NAIROBI, AUGUST 19 /SRNA-Reuters/ - Seven people, including five American tourists, were killed when the tourist helicopter they were flying in crashed in Kenya's Samburu County, a spokesperson for the Archers Post police station said.

"The US Embassy is in contact with local authorities and is providing consular assistance," the spokesperson said.

Luxury tour operator andBeyond confirmed that the helicopter carrying its guests crashed near Mount Ololokwe. The company said in a statement that the cause of the crash had not yet been determined.

According to a report from the police station, the helicopter was flying toward the Loisaba Conservancy when it crashed.
