RABAT, JUNE 19 /SRNA/ - The Russian Film Festival, which is being held in Morocco for the first time, started today at the Moroccan Cinema in the Moroccan capital Rabat, a TASS correspondent reported.
During the four days of the festival, organized by the Roskino agency, seven films by contemporary Russian directors will be shown.
The organizers prepared a surprise for visitors who came to the opening, requiring them to walk along the red carpet to the entrance to the building, where musicians welcomed guests with traditional Moroccan songs and melodies played on their traditional instruments.
The first film to be shown was "The Aviator," directed by Yegor Konchalovsky.
The festival is held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Russian Embassy in Morocco, and the Association of Russian Compatriots and Friends of Russia in Morocco.
