RABAT PAYS TRIBUTE TO TRUMP BY RENAMING HIGHWAY

RABAT, AUGUST 3 /SRNA/ - Morocco has named one of its largest road projects after US President Donald Trump, describing the move as an expression of deep gratitude for his role in strengthening relations between Washington and Rabat.

The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, informed Trump in a letter that the 1,055-kilometer-long Tiznit-Dakhla highway will be renamed the "Donald Trump Highway," reports "Russia Today."

The Moroccan king stated that bilateral relations, traditionally based on friendship and loyalty, have become particularly vibrant and fruitful during Trump's two presidential terms.

"Your historic recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara in 2020 will forever remain engraved in the memory of Moroccans, from generation to generation," the king wrote in the letter to Trump.
