PROTESTERS BLOCK ACCESS TO LOUVRE

PARIS, OCTOBER 19 /SRNA/ - Protesters in Paris blocked access to the historic Louvre Museum this morning, demanding better conditions for education, the Newsweek website reported.

Access to the building was blocked by students who had gathered to express support for the secondary school students' movement and condemn police repression.

Photographs of this morning's protests posted on social media show art school students holding banners in front of the glass pyramid bearing the slogan: "France’s public services are falling apart."
