PHILIPPOT CONFIRMS HE IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

PARIS, MAY 9 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - The leader of the French right-wing Patriots party Florian Philippot, who advocates stopping aid to the Kiev regime and France's exit from the EU and NATO, has confirmed that he is running for president in next year's presidential elections.

"Yes, I am a candidate for the presidential elections," Philippe told the France 2 broadcaster.

The presidential elections in France will be held in April 2027. French President Emmanuel Macron cannot be the candidate after two consecutive terms.
