IZETBEGOVIĆ CONFIRMS DODIK’S ROLE AS DEFENDER OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JUNE 24 /SRNA/ – Milorad Kojić, an SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, told SRNA that SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović, through his recent media statements, has demonstrated that SNSD President Milorad Dodik is the strongest defender of Republika Srpska and the Serb national interests in BiH guaranteed by the Dayton Peace Accords.

Kojić said that Izetbegović is evidently living in the past and fails to understand geopolitical changes, noting that the period when Bosniaks exercised pressure through former US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy, Valentin Inzko and Christian Schmidt against Dodik, Republika Srpska and the Serb people has passed.

"The pragmatic policy of preserving the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska, implemented by Milorad Dodik and his team, has produced results. It has also clearly shown that, without resorting to force to remove political leaders such as Milorad Dodik, Bosniaks have no other way to pursue the idea of a unitary BiH," Kojić stressed.

According to him, Izetbegović`s statements calling for force against Dodik reflect Bosniaks` inability to counter the legal and political initiatives pursued by Republika Srpska at both the domestic and international levels.

"This is the clearest proof that the defense of Serb interests and the constitutional order of Republika Srpska is secure with Milorad Dodik," Kojić said.

Kojić added that Izetbegović also made another important point during the interview, namely that SDS and PDP are the only genuine partners of what he described as pro-Bosniak policies, emphasizing that such policies are aimed at the unitarization of BiH.

SDA President Bakir Izetbegović said during an appearance on Federal Television last night that Dodik "must be resolved by some force".
