MOSCOW, OCTOBER 22 /SRNA/ - The US administration is doing a great deal to promote a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, while Europe is doing nothing, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"European countries are doing nothing to promote a peaceful settlement, and are doing a great deal to provoke further military action," Peskov told reporters.
He noted that Moscow had not heard any statements from Ukraine or Europe indicating a willingness to move from escalation to dialogue.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff held talks in St. Petersburg yesterday.
The Russian side was also represented at the talks by Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov and Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president's special envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries.
