MOSCOW, JUNE 2 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Kiev deliberately destroyed the college in Starobelsk and this fact has already been established, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"They destroyed the college deliberately. This is evidenced by the technical characteristics of the drones and the means of communication used. All this has already been established and has been publicly discussed," Peskov told reporters.
He noted that the college in Starobelsk was never a military facility.
"Therefore, if the Kiev regime deliberately carries out such inhumane terrorist attacks on the civilian population, on children, beyond the limits of humanity, this is a completely different paradigm," Peskov said.
Peskov recalled that Russia has always said that, no matter what, it is preferable to achieve its goals in Ukraine peacefully.
He noted that Moscow will achieve its goals and is ready to achieve them through peace negotiations.
"The special military operation will be continued if Kiev continues to reject real negotiations and serious ideas for a peaceful solution," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
He added that Russia is now systematically attacking the military infrastructure of the Ukrainian authorities in Kiev and other cities.
On May 22, Ukrainian forces attacked the academic building and dormitory of the Luhansk State Pedagogical University in Starobelsk. 21 people were killed and more than 40 were injured.
