PASSENGERS EVACUATED AT SHEREMETYEVO AIRPORT DUE TO AIRBORNE THREAT

MOSCOW, OCTOBER 23 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Passengers are being evacuated at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow due to an airborne threat, while access to the security-controlled areas of all terminals has been restricted, the airport administration said.

"Measures remain in place following the activation of the air threat alert. Passengers are being evacuated, and access to the security-controlled areas of all terminals is currently restricted. Passengers are being informed through audio alarms," the statement said.

The administration said passengers are strictly prohibited from using elevators, remaining inside aircraft for shelter, standing near windows or glass structures, photographing or filming the incident, or approaching any debris from unmanned aerial vehicles that they may spot.
