NUMBER OF BILLIONAIRES IN THE WORLD REACHES RECORD 3,795

MOSCOW, AUGUST 27 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - The number of billionaires worldwide reached a record 3,795 by the end of 2025, while their combined wealth hit a record $15.1 trillion, according to global financial analysis company Altrata.

“The 8.2 percent increase was the largest in the past five years, as rising stock markets, monetary stimulus and the investment frenzy surrounding artificial intelligence drove significant growth in the wealth of the world’s richest people,” the company said in its report.

A total of 287 people became billionaires in just one year, and their number increased by nearly 60 percent over the past decade.

“The combined wealth of billionaires reached $15.1 trillion in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.8 percent,” the report said.
