MOSCOW DEMANDS THAT INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS CONDEMN YAKOVLEV'S KILLING

MOSCOW, JULY 15 /SRNA/ - Russia demands that the International Atomic Energy Agency /IAEA/ and other international organizations clearly condemn the killing of the chief engineer of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant /ZNPP/, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi must finally take notice of this crime by the Kyiv regime. We demand a clear and articulated statement from relevant international organizations, above all the IAEA, condemning this killing," Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

The plant's chief engineer, Alexander Yakovlev, and his driver were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a service vehicle belonging to the nuclear facility, said Alexey Likhachev, head of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom.
