MOSCOW, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - Russia will respond if aggression comes from Western Europe, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"If aggression comes from Western Europe or the EU, there will be a response. What kind? I think it would be better to read the Russian president’s statement again. He made it unequivocally clear," Zakharova said at a news conference.
She added that Moscow values initiatives that could help resolve the crisis in Ukraine, including proposals put forward by the United States in Alaska.
"We value initiatives that can help resolve the Ukrainian crisis. These include Washington’s proposals that led to the well-known agreements reached in Alaska," Zakharova said.
U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met at a U.S. military base in Anchorage in August last year, but details of the agreement have not been made public.
