MOSCOW AND BEIJING SUPPORT ESTABLISHMENT OF SUSTAINABLE PEACE IN UKRAINE

BEIJING, MAY 20 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ – Russia and China support all efforts for establishing a sustainable peace in Ukraine, reads a joint declaration published after talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"The two countries also advocate continuing the search for a solution through dialogue and negotiations," the document states.

The declaration emphasizes that Russia and China are convinced of the need to completely eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis on the basis of respect for the principles of the UN Charter.

"Russia appreciates China’s objective position regarding the Ukrainian conflict and welcomes Beijing’s willingness to play a constructive role in resolving it," the declaration states.
