HELSINKI, JUNE une 14 /SRNA/ – Finnish politician Armando Mema has warned that the process of Ukraine's accession to the European Union is rushed and dangerous, especially following revelations about biological laboratories and an assessment of all the risks that membership could entail.
“President Vladimir Putin was right about the secret biological laboratories in Ukraine. He was also right regarding NATO's unlawful expansion toward Russia's borders. The war would not have occurred if NATO had not expanded toward Russia's borders. Russia rightly perceived the threats coming from Ukraine,” Mema posted on X.
He stressed that the European Union must confront the fact that there are biological laboratories in Ukraine producing pathogens, and that NATO's expansion and the arming of Kyiv constitute an unnecessary provocation in the already tense relations between Europe and Russia.
“
I see no reaction from European leaders to the American revelations about secret bio-laboratories in Ukraine. Moreover, Ukrainian drones continue to strike civilians in Russia with weapons that we have provided,” said Mema, a member of the Libertarian Party.
According to him, Europe is heading down a dangerous path by allowing complete disregard for international law and norms in Ukraine.
He added that the EU should address the issue of the bio-laboratories in Ukraine, seek appropriate explanations, and conduct a thorough risk assessment before considering Ukraine’s accession to the Union.
