MEDVEDEV: NO COUNTRY HAS BEEN UNDER SUCH PRESSURE AS RUSSIA TODAY

MOSCOW, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ - Russia is truly the only country in modern history that has been exposed to such intense pressure, said United Russia President Dmitry Medvedev.

He said during a meeting of the expert council for the preparation of the party's new program that unprecedented external pressure is one of the biggest challenges of today.

"We have to give an answer and we are giving an answer. This challenge, let's face it, it's very, very difficult. Never in modern world history has any country been subjected to such a volume of illegal restrictions," Medvedev stressed.

According to him, everything must be done to ensure Russia's development, even in such conditions.

"Our citizens deserve a decent quality of life. We are trying to do this because the country is developing," Medvedev added.
