BRUSSELS, SEPTEMBER 17 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - The European Union will transfer another €3.3 billion to Ukraine tomorrow to purchase drones and missiles, including US-made Patriot systems, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said following a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In a statement, she reminded that the European Commission approved funding last week for the purchase of Patriot systems as part of a loan to support Ukraine.

Von der Leyen also announced plans to use the remaining funds from the EU's Security Action for Europe /SAFE/ program to launch a new program for joint defense projects between Brussels and Kyiv.

"We have already mobilised almost €15 billion for Ukraine this year. More funding is on the way," von der Leyen said.
