GROSSI: ATTACKS ON NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS ARE UNACCEPTABLE

MOSCOW, AUGUST 28 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency /IAEA/ Rafael Grossi said attacks on nuclear power plants, including the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, were unacceptable and called for maximum military restraint.

The IAEA said on X that maximum military restraint was needed to avoid the risk of a nuclear disaster.

A Ukrainian military drone struck an area near the cooling pond at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant on August 25, injuring two employees.

The following day, another drone exploded at a spent nuclear fuel storage facility, and a third struck the cooling system of the plant’s power units.
