THREE SARAJEVO NEIGHBORHOODS CALL FOR URGENT FIX TO WATER SUPPLY

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – Residents of the Sarajevo neighborhoods of Pogledine, Jarčedoli and Popov Gaj protested today in front of the "Vodovod i kanalizacija" water and sewerage company. They demanded an urgent solution to their water supply problems and concrete answers from the authorities in charge.

The residents said they have had no regular water supply for two months. They said the cuts are carried out with no plan or clear schedule, so they have to keep water stocks on hand at all times.

The residents of the three hillside neighborhoods who gathered are also unhappy with their water bills. They say the bills have not been reduced even though they are without water more often than they have it, Federation media reported.
