BRUSSELS OPENLY USES HUMAN RIGHTS AS A PRETEXT TO INTERFERE IN INTERNAL AFFAIRS

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - Brussels is openly using the issue of human rights to interfere in the internal affairs of independent states, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today.

Commenting on the report by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas on the state of human rights and democracy in the world in 2025, Zakharova said the document explicitly states that the issue is being used to exert pressure on Russia.

According to her, the level of intolerance in the EU is steadily increasing, with examples of racism and hate speech becoming increasingly common.
